Information Sent Directly
Search Terms
A name, location, or other text entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Owyhee County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own system.
Messages
An email or contact message is kept long enough to read and answer. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is needed to comply with law, protect rights, or address a security issue.
Technical Data and Cookies
Normal page requests can create technical records such as:
- IP address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on each
- Referring page, if supplied by the browser
- Access timestamps
Cookie Choices
Cookies may be used to understand how visitors use the pages or to support partner and advertising features. Browser settings can block or delete cookies. Some functions may work differently when cookies are disabled.
How Information Is Used
Information may be used to:
- Keep the pages available and improve loading speed.
- Send search requests to the partner service that handles them.
- Learn which content is useful to visitors.
- Find errors, abuse, and technical faults.
- Display advertising that may be relevant to a visitor’s interests.
Links Beyond These Pages
Pages link to sheriff and jail rosters, booking records, courts, corrections agencies, federal locators, news outlets, and outside search tools. Once a visitor follows one of those links, that organization’s privacy notice and data practices control. Owyhee County Busted Mugshots does not control the outside service’s collection, retention, security, or accuracy.
Advertising partners may also track activity across different sites for their own advertising systems. That tracking occurs on the partner’s systems, not through control by this reference service.
Who May Receive Information
Personal information is not sold by Owyhee County Busted Mugshots. Depending on the feature used, information may be received by:
- Search partners that process an entered query.
- Analytics providers that measure page use.
- Advertising networks and their service vendors.
- Law-enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order or legal duty requires disclosure.
Security Limits
Reasonable security practices are used for information held by the service. No system connected to the internet is fully secure, however, and no promise can be made that data will never be exposed, lost, or accessed without permission.
Visitors Under 18
These pages are intended for adults. The service does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If a minor sent personal information, a parent or guardian may use the Contacts page to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity checks, a visitor may ask about:
- A copy of personal information held by the service.
- Correction of inaccurate information.
- Deletion of information that the service is allowed to remove.
- Opting out of certain forms of processing.
Requests can be sent through the Contacts page. A search query handled by a third-party provider may need to be addressed with that provider directly.
Changes to This Notice
This notice may be revised when the service, vendors, law, or data practices change. A new version becomes effective when posted on this page. Visitors should review the notice from time to time.
